NAIF did not receive any confirmed reliable reports of the new crescent moon (hilal) being sighted on Wednesday evening (Aug 3rd).
We will thus complete the 30th day of Shawwal and begin the month of Dhu al-Qidah on Thursday evening when the moon should be easily visible throughout the world. The first day of Dhu al-Qidah will be Friday, August 5th.

New Moon of Ramadan sighted June 5th Sunday Night.

Committee of certified Ulema Verified the moon sighting reports! Ramadan Mubarak.

This marks the end of the Islamic month of Sh’abaan and the beginning of the month of Ramadan, with its first day occurring on Monday, June 6th.

NAIF has confirmed reliable reports of the new crescent moon (hilal) being sighted on Saturday evening (May 7th) by experienced moon-sighters in North America including locations in New Jersey and Florida. This marks the end of the Islamic month of Rajab and the beginning of the month of Shaban, with its first day occurring on Sunday, May 8th.

New moon of Rajab sighted Fri. night (30 days of Jumada al-Thani completed)

NAIF did not receive any reports of the new moon being sighted Thursday, but has confirmed that the new crescent moon (hilal) of Rajab has been sighted on Friday evening (April 8th) by reliable moon-sighters at numerous locations around the globe, including the U.S.
Along with the completion of 30 days of Jumada al-Thani, this marks the beginning of the month of Rajab, with its first day occurring Saturday, April 9th. May Allah make this month for you a source of benefit, enrichment, and closeness to Allah, Most High.
